Summer Card Camp 2--Week 3, Day 5
New Color Combos
For today's final card I chose the color palette of blue, light yellow, peach, aqua and light moss green. This simple card has an embossed banner, paper flower and gold letters on a vintage print mat placed on a light moss card. Gold pearls and gold stickles complete the card.

A Card for the Guys
Your little cowpoke, or big cowboy will appreciate this card for his special occasion
Background papers are layers as seen in one of this weeks sketches. A barbed wire strip separates the papers. Purple glitter paper frames were cut using Spellbinders stackable dies. The horse and barbed wire are stamped with brown and punched circle balance the design. The letters are cut with a Spellbinders alpha die.

I am inspired
Today using the colors and sketches, I was inspired to make this card for a friend.
Today using the colors and sketches, I was inspired to make this card for a friend.
I stamped, colored and cut out a pansy, then covered with diamond stickles. The mat is glossy card stock that I inked and dry embossed with a paisley print; then using Spellbinders circles made a cut out and a frame from purple cardstock. The sentiment is from MSE. The card is finished with ribbon and a bow and purple stickles dots.

Die Cutting Techniques
Today's home work was to try our hand at embossing die cuts.
Today's home work was to try our hand at embossing die cuts.
Using this weeks color of two shades of purple, blue, I inked a sheet of card stock and then cut the large butterfly using a Spellbinders Shapeabilities die, then cut the two smaller butterflies from patterned paper with the other dies in this set. After embossing them with clear powder, I stacked them. The banner is cut from a Starbucks hot drink sleeve. The sentiment is from MSE. The scrolls are the punch outs from the large butterfly. Stickles dots and a sheer bow complete the card.

Summer Card Camp 2--Week 3, Day 1
This week we have challenging color combos, and some new sketches.
Since the purples are next to each other on the color wheel, they do go together, but it is tricky. This is my interpretation:
This works because of the variegated ribbon that ties the two purples together.

For our lesson today we were give additional color combos to create a card.
For our lesson today we were give additional color combos to create a card.
I chose white, gold , lavender, grey and purple. The image is cut from a pattered paper--highlighted with lavender and gold stickles, then mounted on a purple and grey print and then a gold print highlighted with stickles. A purple mat is centered on a white card then embellished with purple pearls and a gold sentiment.

Stretching Holiday Stamps
We received practical ways to use those holiday stamps year round.
I stamped a partridge in a pear tree, masking out the pear and the words, then added a die cut scroll and gold sticker sentiment.
